Core Cryolab is proactively monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and is taking appropriate mitigating actions to ensure continuity of operations. We have been deemed an ‘Essential Business’ by the government and expect to remain open.
We have an emergency preparedness plan in place and have implemented measures to ensure the health and safety of our team, clients, patients and suppliers. We will continue to maintain all freezers and cryogenic samples in our care, support cryogenic equipment purchases, and ship critical samples.
In response to the emergency, we have scaled down operations and staffing at our Toronto General Hospital facility. The following measures have also been implemented:

- Requests for sample withdrawals will be limited to critical needs such as transplant and/or patient treatment
- Requests for shipping will be limited to critical needs
- Preventative maintenance and all work at customer sites has been limited to critical needs
